All manuscripts submitted to Hygieia: Journal of Health Sciences will undergo an initial screening by the Editorial Team. During this stage, the editor will assess the completeness of the manuscript based on the Author Guidelines and evaluate its relevance to the journal's focus and scope.

If the manuscript meets the journal’s requirements, it will be forwarded to peer reviewers. The peer review process is conducted using a double-blind review system, meaning that both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous to each other.

Each manuscript will be reviewed by two independent reviewers who will evaluate the quality, originality, relevance, and scientific merit of the content. Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editor will make a decision to either continue with the review process or reject the manuscript.

If revisions are required, the editorial team will send the reviewers' comments to the author. The author is expected to revise the manuscript accordingly and resubmit it within the given deadline.

The editor will assess the revised manuscript and may send it for a second or subsequent round of review if necessary. A final decision—acceptance, further revision, or rejection—will be made based on the outcome of the review process.
