Applied Management and Economics Research Journal (AMER) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement outlines the ethical behavior expected of all parties involved in the publication process: the editor, authors, peer reviewers, and the publisher.
- Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Making fair and unbiased editorial decisions based on the manuscript's academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope, regardless of authors' race, gender, religious belief, ethnicity, or institutional affiliation.
- Ensuring a confidential and transparent review process.
- Preventing any form of plagiarism or unethical behavior by using appropriate tools and procedures.
- Disclosing any potential conflict of interest and recusing themselves from the editorial process when such conflicts arise.
- Duties of Authors
Authors must:
- Ensure that their work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- Properly cite and acknowledge all sources used in the manuscript.
- Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, and manipulation.
- Clearly identify all individuals who contributed significantly to the work and ensure that all listed authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.
- Disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that could influence the research.
- Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback that will help improve the manuscript.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the content of the manuscript and not use it for personal advantage.
- Inform the editor if they feel unqualified to review the submission or if a conflict of interest exists.
- Duties of the Publisher
The publisher is responsible for:
- Supporting the editorial team in maintaining publication integrity and transparency.
- Ensuring that proper systems are in place for managing submissions and review processes ethically and efficiently.
- Taking appropriate measures when ethical complaints or misconduct are reported, such as issuing corrections, retractions, or apologies as necessary.
- Plagiarism and Redundancy
AMER strictly prohibits any form of plagiarism or redundant publication. All submitted manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software. Any manuscript that fails to meet originality requirements will be rejected or retracted.
- Article Retraction Policy
Articles may be retracted in cases of ethical breaches, such as plagiarism, duplicate submission, or data falsification. Retractions will be accompanied by an official statement and made publicly available on the journal's website.
